About the Job
Savantage Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our professional services team to be a point of contact to senior government stakeholders on overall program/contract execution and all contractual activities related to performance, cost, and schedule. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Information Technology (IT) management professional who has demonstrated strong client-centric service, has exceptional client relations expertise, advanced technical knowledge, and strong business acumen to successfully lead assigned government business teams. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Infrastructure/Technology Upgrades, and Cloud Migration Projects particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical point of contact with client to gather information for project initiatives and provide input into strategic discussions for recommendations and communication strategies to help ensure client objectives are met while strategies/communications align with both client and corporate objectives to achieve desired results.
- Manage cost, schedule, performance, security, and risk for client-related activities and projects.
- Manage estimates, reports, and data analysis in response to client requests for information to support their technology needs.
- Drive quality of service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.
- Lead multiple IT sections/teams with multiple service areas and sub-teams, which are directly supervised and/or supported by other managers and/or team leads.
- Ensure contract personnel are proficient in the use of management tools for action item tracking, deliverable production, quality assurance, and reporting.
- Prepare, review, and/or approve weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and deliverables.
- Ensure implementation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices across technical teams.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
The candidate must have:
- DOD Secret Clearance
- 10+ years of related work experience; experience managing DoD projects preferred.
- Exceptional client relations expertise.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate IT teams and to collaborate effectively with other senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience managing financial system implementations and migrations; Federal experience preferred.
- Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders (e.g., within government, DoD, and commercial sectors).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IT challenges and to drive continuous improvement in IT services.
- Experience with delivering software and infrastructure within an operational environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- An active Secret Clearance.
- Experience with managing financial and IT-related projects such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), financial system development and integration, and business process reengineering.
- Experience with project management strategies and techniques; experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC) activities.
- Familiarity with technology platforms, service delivery models, and knowledge of DoD policies, procedures, and business processes, with respect to Oracle technologies and various Cloud service providers/services (e.g., AWS, Oracle OCI, Microsoft Azure).
Education and Certifications:
- BA/BS degree in a Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; MA/MS degree a plus. Years of experience may be substituted for education on a one-for-one basis.
- PMI PMP (or equivalent) certification required.
Compensation
$165k - $225k (based on the National Capital Region)
The pay range for this job level at Savantage Solutions serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Factors considered when extending an offer include but are not limited to, job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, seniority, performance, and alignment with market data.
This salary range is based on the National Capital Region and reflects our good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic region or market conditions, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the stated range.
