Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Technical Recruiter for a FULL TIME position.
Overview: Technical Recruiters achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates; working with Account Managers; pipelining candidates and maintaining relationships with consultants on billing. Recruiters contact, screen and help in the placement of qualified candidates at SGA client sites.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize independent judgement to appropriately identify the best candidates for a role.
- Determine applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
- Evaluate and refer candidates based on ability and in adherence with all employment laws.
- Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with Account Managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.
- Collect managerial references from all candidates and feed possible sales leads to Account Managers.
- Administer technical screening tests where appropriate.
- Create a professional presentation for the candidate including a well written resume and write up that ensures the greatest chance to secure an interview and placement.
- Schedule interviews in the absence of sales person – brief and debrief candidates before and after interviews.
- Utilize Job Diva to document all conversations with candidates.
- Maintain an active hotlist of candidates whose skill sets are in demand.
- Upon assignment of a primary job immediately establish a search in Job Diva and create an e-mail merge.
- Cover all primary job assignments within 48 hours.
- Meet established current metrics for your experience level as a recruiter
- Leverage candidate tracking systems to ensure future searches are successful.
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, and internet sites; attend networking events and represent SGA in the IT community.
- Gather an understanding of client companies and the markets they are in so that we you can adequately fill open positions.
- Work with Sales Team members to provide clients with the most qualified and appropriate resumes.
- Maintain daily communication with sales team on your focused jobs.
- Follow the directions of your Team Lead and Sales Director in setting priorities and advancing the corporate goals of SGA.
- Work with team members and other SGA employees to meet the team and company objectives.
- Share knowledge of jobs, candidates, and the market with your Team Lead, Sales Team, and other team members as needed to enhance the recruitment process and achieve team and company goals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, HR, Communications or other relevant field or a combination of training and on the job experience.
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and calmly with team members, management, candidates, consultants, and clients.
- Ability to work closely with others using strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assess and judge a candidates skills and fitness for IT positions.
- Ability to handle the stress of high-pressure, time-sensitive performance expectations.
- Knowledge of the IT field and technologies.
- Computer skills, including but not limited to, email, basic office productivity software, and internet-based applications.
