About the Role:
- Present project-specific solutions to civil engineering clients/ customers.
- Responsible for promoting new and existing engineered precast concrete products to engineers, specifiers, end users and internal employees with strategic plan to grow reinforced concrete pipe market share.
- Work closely with DOT’s and Local Municipalities/ Public Works on improving specifications for storm drainage infrastructure.
- Manage Rinker’s relationship with industry organizations, for example but not limited to: ASCE, ASHE, APWA, ASTM & AASHTO.
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions. Establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
- Visit local Plant on a regular basis for relationship building and for the understanding Plant operations.
- Presentations to key engineering entities as well as key trade engineering associations.
- Serve as the liaison between the engineer and the sales and operations group.
- Responsible for the market development and education of the material specifying process.
- Responsible for the introduction of new products.
- Organizing and facilitating Lunch & Learns (L&L) and Agency/Engineering Plant Tour opportunities within the industry.
- Identifying and attending Trade Shows/ Association meetings relevant to the designated territory.
- Responsible for making cold calls to engineers and agencies for future L&L/Plant Tours.
- Performs special projects or assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering License preferred
- Must have taken and passed the Engineering- in-Training (EIT) Exam or demonstrate the ability to pass the EIT exam within 18 months of onboarding.
- Construction related experience is preferred.
- Enthusiasm and passion for the business and achieving organizational goals
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong presentation skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills including the ability to solve problems proactively, and exercise sound judgment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of people and personalities.
- Able to apply effective time management and self-management skills.
- Possess thorough, organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
- Advanced skills in all MS Office programs to include including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet and other database/ERP applications.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license and ability to travel 35 percent of the time.
