Job Summary

Torrent Resources is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support our growing Southern California stormwater market. The individual will be responsible for marketing and technical assistance leading to the specification and installation of Torrent Resources MaxWell® Drywells. The role will build and preserve existing relationships with key contacts, effectively market the breadth of stormwater solutions provided by Torrent Resources and Oldcastle Infrastructure, provide engineers with technical data and resources as needed, and track projects from concept to completion. This is a work-from-home position that requires frequent local travel for in-person interactions with civil engineers and other related contacts.

Job Responsibilities

• Embrace and promote the company’s core values along with driving a safety-first operating culture.
• Develop relationships and maintain continuous contact with the civil engineering community and other key customers through presentations, project meetings, public meetings, trade shows, targeted speaking engagements, etc.
• Support stormwater design teams in the specification of Torrent Resources MaxWell® Drywells. Utilize internal resources to efficiently provide design support and answer technical questions.
• Educate design engineers on key benefits and how to take advantage of MaxWell® Drywells’ versatility to meet project stormwater treatment requirements.
• Perform detailed analysis of each project to ensure proper specification of solutions and services to efficiently meet project goals and stormwater regulatory requirements.
• Consistently stay informed of changing regulatory environment regarding stormwater, groundwater recharge, and infiltration policies.
• Eagerly seek new opportunities to expand the usage of MaxWell® Drywells as well as Oldcastle Infrastructure’s stormwater solutions through market opportunities, cost-efficiency, and customer relationships.
• Maintain relationships with internal company team members by engaging in meetings, providing training and constructive feedback, and working closely with others to manage customer requests.
• Effectively maintain a CRM funnel through consistent updates using Salesforce projects, accounts, contacts, and activities.
• Become an expert in the subject of total stormwater management; detention/retention, treatment, infiltration, green infrastructure, and maintenance services.  

Job Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience working with civil engineers, construction operations, or related field.
• Ability to review and understand civil construction specifications/drawings.
• A basic understanding of stormwater management and regulations.
• Coachable, enthusiastic, assertive, and technically inclined.
• Highly motivated to achieve personal and team success.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Compensation

• Target Salary Range is $95,000.00 to $105,000.00
• Eligible for a semi-annual bonus
