Desired Qualifications – We seek a high-performing Technical Sales Representative to identify and engage with customers and sell PulseForge products. This individual will also be providing technical support to customers, acting as a liaison between the company and the customer, and their responsibilities include:
Proactively find and contact new potential customers
Researching industry trends and identifying new potential clients
Identifying sales opportunities and devising an action plan to target these opportunities
Understanding customer needs and developing a potential, fact-based solution our technology can provide
Answering customer questions
Building relationships with decision-makers and handling objections tactfully
Providing technical assistance
Coordinating information and service between the end user and the sales team
Representing the company, attending events, and presenting project status internally
Your Opportunity—As a Technical Sales Representative, your primary focus will be working closely with our customers and others on the sales /marketing team to promote and grow the sale of Pulseforge, Inc. products and services. The Technical Sales Representative is the first line of contact with new customers and performs account management duties with existing customers. Technical Sales Representatives establish and maintain long-term business relationships with new and current customers.
In addition to supporting and serving current customers, you will recognize and engage potential customers and senior sales and marketing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Close and grow sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients
- Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
- Communicate sales/service opportunities and customer concerns or suggestions to the business team.
- Please identify and resolve client concerns; recommend the appropriate course(s) of action to help ease these concerns, and build
- client confidence and trust.
- Understand and comply with established guidelines that ensure a safe and healthy work environment
- Coordinates company staff to provide exemplary service to customers (internal and external)
- Expand market awareness of our products and our industry experience by effectively communicating our product features, benefits, and services
- Work with the engineering team to ensure customer project requirements are met
- Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required
- Maintain knowledge of competitor products. Identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing and marketing strategies.
- Maintains current Pulseforge, Inc. product knowledge
- Submit a variety of sales status reports, as required, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
- Submit quarterly customer visit plans; schedule client meetings and action plans for follow-up
- Responsible for setting the customer’s expectations
Qualifications:
- Technical/engineering background preferred; mechanical aptitude highly desirable
- An advanced degree is preferred
- Bachelor's degree and three to five years of proven sales or marketing experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
- Strong presentation and organizational skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic, self-directed, and self-motivated work environment and effectively collaborate with other functions within the company
- Work requires travel to current and potential clients (~25%). Additional travel may be needed in less common situations where unforeseen customer requirements arise.
