At a Glance:
The Technical Sales, Senior team member is responsible for driving revenue growth for new and existing customers (pre-sales, sales and post-sales) in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and H&P. This team member will work alongside a team of cross-functional resources to execute the strategic account plans. This position generates revenue by educating clients on H&P DrillScan, understanding & interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, soliciting & obtaining orders, and developing & maintaining accounts. This person will be "the face" of the company and will ensure that the customer's needs are brought to the table for management decisions, while driving margin growth for H&P. This role will be domestically focused, which will require travel up to ~25% of the time. H&P believes delivering on customer outcomes and promoting organizational health are keys to our success.
H&P is willing to hire a candidate at a Principal or Senior level based on qualifications, expereinces, prior work history and skills.

This position is expected to be filled in a work location that is in the greater Houston or Midland Texas area.
What you will do:
Understand customers’ problems and develop solutions to solve and/or prevent them.
Present, promote, and sell products/services to existing and prospective customers.
Establish, develop, & maintain positive business and customer relationships.
Ensure that all invoicing is correct and timely with assigned clients.
Achieve agreed upon internal revenue & rig targets, as well as client outcomes within schedule.
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
Analyze competitors, territory/market potential, track sales and status reports to identify sales opportunities.
Report and properly document all client interactions, proposals, MSAs, contracts, etc in CRM database.
Identify, develop and close new sales opportunities.
Formulate and execute key account strategies (short-/mid-/long term) including an ambitious annual revenue plan and long-term target plan.
Responsible for DrillScan revenue and margin targets, as well as overall customer satisfaction.
Provide strategic plan presentations to customer and H&P teams.
Utilize advanced product/service knowledge and understanding of our clients' business to develop customized proposals that present creative solutions and successfully sell the organization's capabilities.
Ensure learnings and innovation are shared internally across accounts and functions.

What you need:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, successful account management, sales, and/or contract negotiation.
Working knowledge of drilling industry, equipment, & practices.
Drilling Engineering experience preferred.
Understanding of H&P DrillScan products/services.
Knowledge and experience in the use of CRM systems.
Knowledge of computers, MS Office, teleconference, video conference technologies as they relate to the sales process.
Well-organized and detail oriented.
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
Ability to be proactive/forward thinking when assessing & managing customer needs.
A plus:
Strong relationship development skills and a proven business development track record.
Ability to influence internally & externally; strong EQ (Emotional Intelligence Skills).
Experience selling in Oil & Gas Industry.
Experience leading business reviews to address performance, strategies, and activities of the customer stakeholders.
Proven experience in using quantitative and qualitative analysis to assess customer relationships and make recommendations for each account.
Strong business, marketing and analytical skills.
Able to find innovative solutions to difficult or complex problems for customers.
Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentation. Able to convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Constantly moving forward, looking to the future, and making things happen.
Understands and navigates complexities associated with legal, compliance, and contracting language
Strong planning and organizational skills. Planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organization goals.
