About the Job
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of their supervisor and senior staff, this role is responsible for responding to operational break/fix scenarios, as well as upgrading and maintaining end user devices through regular refresh intervals and projects requiring new equipment.
This person specialized technical support and training services and will work with users at all levels of the organization and IS teams to support end user devices. Technical knowledge of end user technologies such as, client/server operating systems, mobile device management systems, and desktop support management software systems is required.
Working with other technical resources, this technician adheres to established procedures, workflows, and tools to provide exceptional support and customer service for the systems that support patient care and UW Health operations. This person must be comfortable with providing technical assistance both remotely and in person. In addition, they must employ excellent communication skills in sharing information with users within the department.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Minimum:

Preferred:
Associates or higher in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly preferred (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of)
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Minimum:

Preferred:
A+ and / or Microsoft certifications
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Minimum:
- Demonstrated success working on technology.
- Demonstrated success troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose problems in technology.
Preferred:
- 1 year relevant experience in a Healthcare setting
- 2 years relevant experience in IT, Business Operations, Project Management, Analytics or Monitoring

Label printer deployment
Asset management and tracking
Network infrastructure components and concepts
Chrome deployment and Google admin
Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Wireless troubleshooting
- Knowledge of VPN and troubleshooting.
- Detecting vulnerabilities with Cloud Based solution
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities
