Job Description:
Overview:
Under broad supervision, the IT Technical Support Specialist provides ongoing management information system support through phone assistance and site visits, troubleshooting end-user issues and implementing software modifications tailored to user needs.
Role Summary:
This role involves overseeing IT systems and assets, assisting with system upgrades and fixes, and providing technical training and support. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software, network maintenance, and industry trends to keep the organization on the cutting edge. By engaging with employees across the company, the IT Specialist will directly contribute to improved operational efficiency and organizational growth.
Objectives:
- Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, and hardware.
- Manage critical IT tasks and system improvements to boost productivity.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for Windows, Microsoft, Adobe, and other widely used applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phones.
- Analyze and address staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and enhance efficiency.
- Execute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, and administration, ensuring all components function together seamlessly.
- Implement software upgrades and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Train employees on software and hardware usage and provide technical support as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in troubleshooting MS Office 365, VPN, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, encryption, and related tools (3+ years).
- Expertise in troubleshooting computer peripherals (printers, scanners, monitors, etc.) (3+ years).
- Experienced in end-user device support, including desktops, laptops, and Surface Pros (3+ years).
- Familiarity with Active Directory domain environments (3+ years).
- Proficient in software installations and troubleshooting.
