Job Summary:
Joining Supermicro as a Technical Trainer - Content Design, you will be instrumental in crafting, developing, and disseminating compelling and informative training materials and certification programs tailored to Supermicro's state-of-the-art products. Your contributions will be crucial in providing our teams, partners, and customers with top-tier education and certification on servicing and maintaining Supermicro technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Content Development & Design: Forge engaging training materials, courses, and documentation across Supermicro's product spectrum, ensuring technical accuracy, engagement, and customization for diverse audience needs
• Certification Program Development: Shape and refine training materials and assessments for Supermicro's Global Service Education and Certification Program, integrating the latest product developments and technological advancements to meet industry standards
• Diverse Content Production: Craft a range of content types, including textual documents, instructional materials, interactive e-learning modules, and resources supporting certification programs
• Collaboration & Engagement: Engage closely with Technical Trainers, Product Managers, Service Teams, and external partners to assimilate feedback and insights for ongoing content and certification program refinement
• Training Delivery & Facilitation: Lead and facilitate dynamic training sessions, workshops, and webinars, leveraging effective educational strategies and digital platforms to optimize learning outcomes
• Technical Mastery & Innovation: Stay at the forefront of Supermicro products and emerging technologies to ensure our training and certification offerings remain cutting-edge and comprehensive
• LMS Strategy & Optimization: Collaborate with the LMS Strategist to ensure seamless content integration and optimization within the Learning Management System
• Certification Coordination: Partner with multiple teams to refresh and innovate certification assessment materials and training content
• Continuous Improvement: Harness feedback and analytics to perpetually enhance content relevance and learner engagement
• Brand Consistency: Uphold Supermicro's brand voice and style standards across all content outputs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related fields
• 5+ years of experience in a technical training role, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in enterprise servers, networking, and data center environments
• Demonstrable experience in Content Design or Instructional Design, showcased through a diverse portfolio of content and instructional materials
• Solid grasp of learning theories, instructional design models, and the technological landscape of education
• Mastery in content creation tools and software, notably e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and graphic design platforms
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading talents, adept at distilling complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives
• Innovative and collaborative mindset, thriving in fast-paced, team-oriented environments
• Familiarity with video production processes and LMS functionalities preferred
• Experience in designing captivating educational content and steering certification programs
• Robust presentation, communication, and facilitation capabilities, engaging diverse audiences effectively
• Understanding of x86 server platforms, networking, and data center technologies is advantageous
Salary Range
$66,560 - $117,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
