WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The technical trainer develops and delivers training courses for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of HVAC products under limited supervision. This role involves organizing and conducting entry-level to advanced training programs for both internal and external customers, specifically focused on all disciplines of HVAC theory and application and Lennox HVAC equipment. Additionally, the technical trainer will communicate processes and strategic tactics to help achieve departmental goals and other tasks as per organizational needs.
Duties include:
- Develop course content, determine teaching methodology, and conduct training programs. Work is reviewed for technical accuracy and adequacy.
- Develop, test, maintain, and deliver courses and materials used to train external and internal customers in all HVAC applications and disciplines.
- Establish course content and student learning objectives as needed.
- Prepare course syllabi, lesson plans, and student manuals and coordinate the development of training assets.
- Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
- Update course documentation continuously to ensure timeliness and relevance.
- Conduct training needs assessments.
- Maintain and update inventory of course materials and lab equipment. Keep live lab equipment functioning to deliver hands-on training to end users.
- Develop eLearning training/awareness videos using a variety of Learning & Development tools
- May travel 30-50% depending on project requirements.

The Compensation range for this position is approximately $75,200 - $98,700 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education.
Qualifications:WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of related experience.
- HVAC industry certifications, 608 EPA certifications, and other industry certifications and licensing
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC products and the application & diagnostic techniques and services.
- Knowledge and ability to apply adult learning theories to classroom situations.
- Developed presentation skills using a variety of technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficient in leading WebEx and Teams meetings and webinars
