Overview: Delivers training to the Company’s service personnel and their customers and Develops classroom and self-study training material. Assists managers with decisions concerning direction, scheduling of classroom training.
Evaluates effectiveness of training, suggests and implements improvements.
Essential Duties:
- Deliver instructor-led training of company’s advanced compressor and engine courses, controls and electronics courses. - Deliver training to audiences, along with subject matter experts at times. Training sessions include classroom and one-on-one coaching. - Assist managers with developing schedule and maintain training schedule. - Identify training opportunities, research and create new training material and update training as needed. - Design tests. - Evaluate student performance and evaluate the effectiveness of the training. - Provide technical reviews of online forum exchanges between SMEs and Techs. - Stay in close contact with supervisors to assure that training is meeting expectations. - Ensure that materials and training room (either on-site or at a remote site) is in order and is set-up prior to class. - Assist with the implementation of training certification plans. - Interface with field management to help develop training strategies.

Ability to:
- Perform all assigned duties.

Knowledge:
- Recognized as Subject Matter Expert in Compression, (explicit knowledge and skill across package types) Waukesha ESM1, ESM2, Caterpillar 3500 ULB and 3600 A3/A4 controls.
- Detailed knowledge of principles, methods and techniques used for adult education.
- Extensive knowledge of all Archrock HSE standards, policies and procedures
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of Mobilization, Package and Panel Set up, Emissions Tune and Test.
Minimum Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record and ability to drive a light truck for an extended number of hours a day, several times per week.
Minimum Experience:
- 10 years’ experience in a Field Service Technician
-2 years’ experience performing emissions testing and tuning
- Strong preference for I/E experience
Leadership:
- Expected to serve as a resource to others for knowledge transfer, training and checking work.
- May occasionally lead a team.

- Must be able to travel 75% of the time, year-round.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and bend, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, use PC and talk or hear.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds may be required.
- Extensive travel to field locations. Standing and walking in hot or cold conditions.
