Adecco Staffing is working with a manufacturing company in Chelmsford, NH to bring on a Technical Writer. This is a temp to hire position.
Pay: Depends on Experience
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The successful candidate will focus on developing detailed Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs) and Instructions to support our manufacturing processes. JIBs are used to improve on-the-job training to ensure employees can perform their jobs safely, correctly, efficiently, and to standardize both training and the work itself. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing leads, process engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation, ultimately improving production efficiency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs): Create clear, concise, and comprehensive JIBs for manufacturing processes, ensuring all steps are accurately documented and easy to understand.
Collaborate with Process Engineers: Work closely with process engineers to gather detailed information about manufacturing processes, equipment, and requirements.
Review and Update Documentation: Regularly review and update JIBs to reflect process changes, improvements, and new equipment.
Conduct Process Observations: Observe manufacturing processes to identify areas needing additional documentation or clarification within the Instructions or JIB’s.
Verify Compliance: Verify documentation complies with process operations, work instructions, company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
Content Management: Manage and organize documents in a content management system for easy access and retrieval by relevant personnel.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a technical writer, manufacturing environment preferred.
• Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in writing software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat).
Ability to understand complex technical processes and convey them in simple terms.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience with content management systems.
Knowledge Required:
Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and industry standards preferred.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
TWI Job Instruction certification a plus

Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
