About the Job
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our HHS client.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Proofread documents to ensure the accuracy of format, proper semantic/syntactic use, spelling, and punctuation.
- Checking and correcting the content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and coherence; style; grammar; parallel structure; and cross-referencing.
- Format documents, both technical and non-technical, in accordance with AP style guidelines, client-specific style guides, and other guides as appropriate.
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
- Research highly technical subject matter to develop and maintain technical documentation, including implementation and end-user guides for capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
- Assist in planning, drafting, and developing communications products, plans, and engagement strategies to address various complex scientific research topics.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience with extensive writing.
- Proficient in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Experience with business analysis, requirements management, and direct stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organizational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to be a self-starter, multitask in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years' professional experience in client delivery within the federal, healthcare, or cybersecurity sectors.
- Experience in preparing, writing, editing, researching, and developing and/or processing documents related to cybersecurity/information security policies, SOPs, and workflows.
- Experience in analyzing information required to develop or update information security policy, procedure, and form documentation.
- Experience in developing and presenting cybersecurity/information security related topics for diverse audience groups both technical and non-technical.
- Familiarity with security controls, risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800-53), and information security best practices.
Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience (+4 years of experience).
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
