Key Skills:
- Professional copywriting experience in a business environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Writing experience in web, direct marketing, email marketing, publications and newsletters is preferred.
- Write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions.
- Responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
- Bachelor degree required.
- 5-7 years related experience required
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
- Edit, standardize or make changes to material prepared by other writers or establishment personnel.
- Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
- We are seeking an experienced Creative Content Writer for internal social media, including related microsites and blogs.
- The position is responsible for writing, editing, and creating content for internal social media, and analyzing and interpreting microsite data to determine user preferences and fine tune future content.
- Develop and Write Content Develops content from scratch or conducts editorial interviews for internal social media.
- Applies advanced subject matter knowledge and gives recommendations when creating content for use in internal social media with minimal supervision from supervisor.
- Writes guest blog posts, including on behalf of company executives.
- Proof & Edit Content Gives direction on and effectively communicates regarding edits and recommendations back to the client or team.
- Secures final approvals on all projects for copywriting and editing.
- Brainstorm and produce interesting story ideas and headlines
- Work with communication and marketing creatives within Arrow and from partner agencies to craft newsworthy and interesting content for internal microsite audiences
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or related field and 5+ years related experience
- Professional copywriting experience in a business environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Writing experience in web, direct marketing, email marketing, publications and newsletters is preferred.
- Must have an excellent verbal command of the English language; excellent writing skills, characterized by creativity, simplicity, clarity and concision, and excellent attention to detail, grammar and spelling.
- Must be able to write to various reading levels and in a variety of tones with ability to translate complicated and involved technical information or concepts into persuasive, easy-to-read messages, demonstrating ability to write compelling copy that conveys creativity and excitement to employees.
- Experience using Wordpress Photo and video editing experience a plus
