Our client is a leading healthcare services company specializing in Medicare and Medicaid insurance products and services. The team is composed of enterprise architects, solutions architects, developers, business systems analysts, claims analysts, and configuration analysts. We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. This position is critical in ensuring accurate and clear documentation for our healthcare insurance solutions.
Position Overview:
As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation related to the company s healthcare solutions, including enterprise-level systems and configurations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical information into user-friendly documentation. Your work will be instrumental in supporting our developers, architects, and analysts, as well as ensuring that our clients and internal teams understand the intricacies of our Medicare and Medicaid products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, system documentation, integration guides, and operational procedures for healthcare insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, solutions architects, developers, business systems analysts, claims analysts, and configuration analysts to gather and clarify information.
- Create user-friendly documentation to explain complex concepts and system architectures, particularly those related to Medicare and Medicaid insurance processes.
- Ensure that all documentation complies with regulatory requirements, especially those related to healthcare insurance, such as HIPAA.
- Regularly update and maintain documentation as systems evolve and new features are developed.
- Create and maintain visuals, diagrams, and flowcharts to enhance the clarity of technical documentation.
- Conduct user testing and validation of documentation to ensure accuracy and usability.
- Manage version control and ensure that all documents are consistent with company standards and formatting guidelines.
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences, both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in English, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the healthcare or insurance domain.
- Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid insurance processes, claims systems, and configurations.
- Familiarity with technical environments, including software development life cycles (SDLC), healthcare enterprise systems, and architecture frameworks.
- Experience in writing for a technical audience, including developers, business analysts, and architects.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Confluence, Visio, and other diagramming tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards (HIPAA) and compliance in healthcare is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile development methodology and familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.
- Previous experience working with enterprise architects, developers, and claims analysts in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare system integrations, claims management systems, and database concepts.
- Understanding of configuration and claims processes within Medicare and Medicaid systems.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position requires the candidate to be a resident of Pennsylvania (PA), Delaware (DE), or New Jersey (NJ).
Contract Length:
This is a long-term contract position with the potential to be converted into a full-time position with the client based on performance and business needs.
