Job Description: (Hillsboro, OR/Beam Tech Manufacturing/Analytical Instruments Group
(Client Impactful Work:
(You will be working in manufacturing, while partnering with engineering to document and implement work instruction updates. These changes will come in the form of safety related issues, red lines generated from production, engineering changes, part number changes, etc.) Be a part of a team that is committed to process improvement, quality control and ensuring our products and processes are repeatable.
A day in the Life:
" Attend daily stand up meetings with production to align with priority focus or changes.
" Work directly with a production employee to capture process improvements/changes for documentation.
" Work independently to close on pending work instructions for engineering review.
" Meet weekly with production engineering to review status and to confirm engineering priorities.
" Submit all changes to engineering in a designated time for review.
" Conduct a monthly cross-functional status meeting to discuss progress and strategic goals.
Keys to Success:
Education
" Minimum 2 year degree in a technical writing or communications field
" Experience in lieu of a degree
Experience
" Procedural creation and updates in a technically industry
" Reviewing user documentation for production or service
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
" Shown working experience in technical writing of procedural documentation.
" Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and Access) is required
" Ability to quickly grasp sophisticated technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
" Ability to lift up to 35lbs
" Ability to sit or stand for at least 2 hours at a time
" 1st shift hours: 8-5PM
