Our client is a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing communities and providing affordable housing opportunities. They are seeking a Technical Writer to support their Procurement Division by developing comprehensive training materials and instructional resources for staff involved in procurement processes.
Job Description:
The Technical Writer will collaborate with procurement staff and subject matter experts to create and update training materials, job aids, and guides. This role is crucial in ensuring that staff are equipped with the knowledge and resources necessary to execute procurement activities effectively and in compliance with federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop user-friendly training materials covering procurement processes and tools.
- Create job aids, guides, and instructional content to support staff operations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.
- Update training materials to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Ensure all content aligns with organizational procurement policies and federal regulations (2-CFR-200).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in technical writing, curriculum development, or instructional design, ideally within procurement or regulated industries.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and federal compliance (2-CFR-200).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
