We are seeking a hands-on Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for executing production runs of customer stock in our tolling facility, acquiring and assisting in the collection of performance data, and supporting production operations that meet the highest standards of excellence for customers. This an exciting opportunity to come in on the ground floor and help scale commercial operations in a fast-paced environment. The selected individual will work in a highly-collaborative team environment that requires excellent communication skills and a 'can do' attitude.

Position: Full-Time, hourly, non-exempt
Responsibilities Include:
Tolling Operations:
- Assist in the execution of day-to-day tolling operations, including: production runs and product trials, entering treatment and QA/QC data into the database of record, and completing clean in place protocols.
- Responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual, mechanical and electrical inspection of machinery and performance of customer stock.
- Operate equipment to execute product and process trials or initial production runs.
- Closely follow equipment and facility operational procedures, including for safety requirements.
- Assist with inventory management and processing of customer stock, under the direction of the QA/QC Officer.
- Complete treatment cycle, daily, weekly, and monthly clean in place and facility cleaning protocols.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and productivity gains of the tolling operations.
- When requested, train staff on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery.
- Provide support as needed to other members of the Clean Crop team.
Product Development:
- Working with the Product Development team, assisting in the execution of recipe development and product subsystem experiments, including troubleshooting, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Assist the broader engineering team with general fabrication and construction tasks, as needed.
Operations:
- Provide support to the Operations Team on various procurement, inventory management, and cost saving activities.
- Provide Support with QA/QC testing of seeds pre- and post-processing (ie. germination testing and evaluation).
- Ensure all facilities meet company standards for safety and quality control during testing and operations.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a hands-on environment, including experience with power tools, data acquisition systems, and data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) or equivalent.
- Proactive, goal-oriented, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks in an evolving work environment.
- Supportive team player who is a strong communicator, curious, and possesses a problem-solving mindset.
- Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Must be willing to work on their feet for periods greater 4 hours at a time and able to lift greater than 50lb.
- Willingness to work extended hours and on weekends when necessary.
- Access to reliable transportation.
Nice-to-haves:
- Practical experience working with electronic test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.), and hardware troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with 3D printing, light-duty CNC (wood, plastics, aluminum), and CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.).
- Completed coursework in the fundamentals of electricity, photonics/optics, technical math (e.g., ratio, proportion, variation, fractions, fractional equations, functions and graphs, right triangle trigonometry, vectors, solution of linear equations, determinants, factoring, algebraic functions, laws of sines and cosines, graphs of trigonometric functions)
- Relevant experience or coursework in biology, botany, agronomy or agriculture (e.g., seed physiology, plant pathology, microbiology).
