This position will support complex electronic products and equipment, including design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.
Required Skills:
Proficient use of electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches
Fabrication, assembly, testing, and inspection per engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions
Conduct testing and generate report data
Experience assembling electronic and mechanical equipment and components
Ability to work effectively as part of a group or team
Experience assembling, reworking, and repairing circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components
Fabricate electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing
Operate equipment necessary to fulfill duties
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Preferred Skills:
Proficient use of complex fabrication equipment; ability to fabricate and assemble to precise tolerances and standards
Ability to understand complex engineering drawings and technical information
Assist engineers in the design and development of new electronic systems, cabling, and test equipment
Develop and prepare schematics, design specifications, and parts lists, or provide recommendations on these items
Review designs and specifications of test equipment for adequacy
Conduct tests or experiments requiring setup, operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of equipment
Troubleshoot electronic and electrical systems
Determine engineering/test data to be collected, extract information, and perform calculations to analyze test data
Create test procedures, conduct tests, record data, analyze data, and write reports
Trained and proficient in manufacturing and quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610, or have knowledge of these standards.
