Technician III - Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Hiring Immediately; Pay dependent on experience; quarterly branch performance bonus PAID WEEKLY!
Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)
Pay Range: Dependent on Experience $28 - $35+ per hour, OT after 40 hours, quarterly branch performance bonus
Location: this role will be based in our shop in Tampa, FL with the occasional need to maintenance our equipment in the field.

Required Skills & Experience
Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.
- You should have 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions, and repairing a fleet of construction equipment.
- Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
- Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; $3,000 - $7,000 in value.
- Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
- Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
- Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
- Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
- You are a self-starter and motivated to be successful. Career growth is available!
