About the Job
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Technician to join their Electrical Engineering Lab
This role is integral to supporting complex electronic products and associated equipment through design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.
Utilize electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools proficiently.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
Fabricate, assemble, test, and inspect per engineering specifications and verbal instructions.
Assemble, rework, and repair circuit boards with surface mount and through-hole components.
Fabricate electrical parts from sketches/drawings and prepare samples for testing.
Operate necessary equipment to fulfill these duties.
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies and objectives.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in electronic test equipment, machine tools, and hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
Experience in assembling electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with complex fabrication equipment and assembly to precise tolerances.
Ability to assist engineers in designing and developing new electronic systems, cabling, and test equipment.
Competence in developing schematics, design specifications, and parts lists.
Familiarity with reviewing designs for test equipment adequacy.
Experience in conducting tests, maintaining equipment, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
Capability to analyze test data and create comprehensive reports.
Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-610 manufacturing and quality requirements.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a technician performing related tasks in a production or prototype environment.
Preferred: 2+ years of experience in engineering product development, testing, or production environments.
Education:
Required: 2-year technical degree in a relevant field.
