As a Laboratory Technician, you’ll provide technical support to quality and process control, environmental monitoring, and process development.
What you’ll do:
- Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and apparatus; prepares solutions, reagents and sample formulations.
- Compiles, records and interprets experimental or analytical results.
- Provides chemical technical support for waste water treatment.
- Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
- Carries out other duties as assigned.
- Prepares process control specimens for production personnel per Laboratory Standard Operations.
Position Requirements:
- Good organizational, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes and instructions.
- Working knowledge of laboratory software.
- Experience in a chemical or industrial environment.
- General knowledge of basic Chemistry
Preferred Characteristics:
- The typical minimum level of education to perform this job competently is equivalent to high school graduation and completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school.
- The person requires an ability to understand, utilize and communicate specialized information in speech and written text.
- This specialized training is often formalized and recognized by a specific certificate, diploma or license.
- Directly/indirectly related work experience representing continuous learning and required for someone to perform this job competently is one to three years.
- Ongoing work assignments typically have clearly defined goals. The incumbent's education, training, and previous experience ensure work assignments are successfully carried out because candidate understands what is expected.
- Willingness to learn and receptive to continuous improvement through OJT and external educational opportunities.
