Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician with a focus on security systems to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, and other security-related technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring our security systems are installed and functioning properly, and provide ongoing support for any issues that arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, fire alarms, and related equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with security systems and related infrastructure.
Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on security equipment.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure the security system installation meets all specifications and codes.
Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and maintenance activities.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in security systems, including CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
Proven experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems.
Knowledge of electrical systems and low-voltage wiring.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in relevant security system technologies.
Familiarity with network cabling, IP cameras, and integrated security systems.
Experience working in residential and commercial environments.
