Product Strategy Reports To: Senior Director, Product Strategy
The Product Strategy Technologist is responsible for a taking a critical role on Veeam's Product Strategy team. The Technologist delivers the Veeam message to technical parties of all types and in all situations: Events, online activities, written content, videos, podcasts, press and more. This role is part of a global and dynamic team that adapts to any situation and delivers a conversation at any level.
Job Description
- Engage with Veeam's IT communities including the Veeam 100 Programs
- Deliver product messaging to events and stakeholders of all types: Customers, Partners, Press and Analysts
- Work with Veeam Research & Development team for key product milestones and new capabilities
- Write and deliver content for Veeam.com and other online properties including blogs, whitepapers, webinars, social media, technical briefs, whiteboard diagramming and technical demonstrations
- Occasionally deliver training on Veeam capabilities
- Collaborate on miscellaneous corporate priorities
- Navigate many partnerships to deliver the Veeam message
- Know the competition, supporting technologies and ecosystem
Requirements
- Seven to ten years of experience as a practicing IT professional
- Understand technical concepts and market needs and translate into effective messages for business and technical audiences
- Collaborate with the Product Management team, Business Development and Global Marketing to develop go-to-market strategies including communications and marketing plans
- Successful execution of product campaigns including defining plans, producing deliverables, coordinating resources and measuring results
- Engage with sales, channel partners and customers to collect feedback and requirements
- Demonstrated, strong written, verbal and presentation skills Bachelor or Masters of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience – a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Understanding of advanced storage market and strategy for server, virtualization and cloud business
- Domestic and International Travel up to 50%
