Private consulting MEP firm is searching for a Sr. Technology Designer.
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation of low-voltage cabling systems for voice, data, and audio/visual applications.
Responsibilities
* Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and determine cabling needs
* Design and develop detailed cabling plans and specifications in accordance with BICSI standards and codes
* Select appropriate cabling types, equipment, and materials for each project
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project coordination
* Perform site inspections to verify compliance with design plans and specifications
* Maintain a working knowledge of the latest telecommunications technologies and industry standards
Qualifications
* RCDD certification from BICSI
* Minimum of 10+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling design
* Strong understanding of BICSI standards and codes (TIA/EIA standards)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
