This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. From towers to processors, we design, develop, integrate and manage the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, exploitation and analysis for the Intelligence Community, the military services, geographic and functional combatant commands and DoD agencies.

Job Description
HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking current college students to apply for our internship program located in Honolulu, Hawaii (Hybrid/Remote). Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking interns to take part in our growing workforce development program. We are looking for driven and goal-oriented individuals who are interested in breaking into the defense industry. Through this program, HII will offer you the opportunity to work alongside active subject matter experts within the intelligence field, assist in providing critical support to our military and government clients, and exposure to the world of private government contracting. Our experts will provide on-the-job training, and ensure interns complete our program with the confidence to accurately apply and perform the skills learned in this internship throughout their future careers. This internship not only provides you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a professional environment, but also allows you a look at what HII and the defense industry can offer you as an employee. The internship will take place for 9 weeks. Students may be invited to remain in the internship program for a 90-day cycle, following an evaluation at the end of the term.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Work alongside analysts from multiple disciplines across the program Utilize technical and inter-personal skills and knowledge to support ongoing projects Continue to be an engaged and present member of the team Play an active role in the HII workforce development pipeline Participate in briefs, meetings, and educational courses Fulfill tasks set by supervisors and mentors Network with other interns and professionals within the defense and advanced educational fields

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with between 40% and 60% of the required credits completed.
- Maintain a professional, engaged and active-learning demeanor throughout enrollment
- Moderate understanding of general job aspects with a novice understanding of the intricacies involved with the position desired
- Clearance- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Requirements
- Desire to remain in Hawai'i following graduation
- College courses and/or certifications in Data Science, Information Technology (IT), Intelligence Studies, or Cyber Security
- Research experience on topics relating to the Indo-Pacific
Physical Requirements
Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
