Technology Onboarding Analyst
Location: Whitehouse Station, NJ
Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire
Job description:
This position will sit within Enterprise Infrastructure Engineering under the technology onboarding & process engineering organization. In this organization it is all about accelerating the penetration of Client technology solutions and optimizing the engineering and operational support efforts while strengthening a healthy company agile culture. We are committed to the successful adoption of complex technology programs, enhancing the overall developer and customer experience, and identifying manual touch points and translating them into automation driven outcomes. As an Application Onboarding Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and implementing application onboarding strategies. Working with teams across the application development and engineering community to successfully migrate applications from legacy environments into our Azure Cloud environment. You will also work with onboarding net new applications within the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with customers in gathering business requirements for migration needs.
• Work across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for migration.
• Assist in designing, planning, and managing the migration/onboarding process.
• Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collate, document, and communicate the requirements.
• Prepare migration/onboarding plans including migration risk, milestones, quality, and business sign-off details.
• Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the onboarding/migration plan.
• Develop best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
Qualifications:
• Azure development and migration experience
• Lifting and shifting on-prem applications to the cloud.
• Experience in azure cloud-based services, and Serverless Architecture.
• Experience in a Cloud Software Engineering role or related position.
• Experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Jira experience, understanding of agile methodologies
• Soft skills are extremely important as you will spend a large amount of time communicating between Appdev and engineering teams
