Purpose and Scope:
The Electrician is responsible for building, testing and maintaining AC and DC power systems in the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures all required paperwork is submitted to complete jobs daily.
- Ensures safe transportation of personnel and material to and from remote job sites daily.
- Ensures all Federal, State and local laws are followed at all times.
- Ensures compliance with both company and customer policies at all times.
- Installs, troubleshoots and removes battery power systems, batteries, A panels, transformers, generators, alarms and various interconnect/transport equipment.
- Reads single line diagrams.
- Troubleshoots power plant, transformer and generator systems.
- Diagnoses customer alarms.
- Properly removes and installs various battery systems and basic preventative maintenance skills required in cellular sites.
- Performs preventative maintenance, as required.
- All other duties as required
Skills / Other:
- Basic time management and organizational skills required.
- Schedule flexibility, with work dependent upon need, regardless of time of day or day of week.
- Able to travel (locally).
Education/ Training:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite, required.
- California Electrical Certification a plus.
- Working knowledge and/or understanding of low voltage.
- Ability to comprehend a detailed scope of work (SOW).
Experience:
- 4 years of experience
- Generator experience in T-Mobile & AT&T generators
- Willing to be a team player
- Alarm experience
- Willing to travel out of town often
Compensation: $35-38/hr
