Job Summary: We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to join our product operations team. You will be responsible for creating, updating, and managing technical and non-technical documentation. This role involves working closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to produce resources that document our AdTech software products and help partners leverage them effectively. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a portfolio showcasing documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain world-class documentation, including product documentation, user guides, and developer guides such as API guides.
- Work closely with globally distributed product managers, engineers, and other organizational stakeholders.
- Manage the end-to-end documentation process, including authoring, editing, reviewing, publishing, and maintaining content.
- Ensure that documents adhere to the house style guide, with attention to style, layout, and design.
- Plan, schedule, and track documentation tasks to meet product release dates and deliverables.
- Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
- Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
- Edit and standardize materials prepared by others to meet company guidelines.
- Collaborate with clients to establish technical specifications and determine the subject material for publication.
Qualifications:
- 4-6+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in a technical domain, creating documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with evolving project requirements and priorities.
- Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into comprehensive, accessible, and easy-to-understand documentation.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively in cross-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with data management, reporting, business intelligence concepts, and the AdTech industry.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum software development teams and knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Confluence, Jira, Slack, Google Docs, graphics editors, and Github.
- Technical knowledge of HTML, Markdown, Javascript, JSON, SQL, and APIs.
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., Confluence, Document360) and product adoption platforms (e.g., Pendo).
- Ability to create content beyond traditional documentation, such as online videos, demos, and guided tours.
