Duration: 6 Months

We have an immediate need for a MID -term Project Deployment Planner with experience in the following areas:

Duration: 6-months
Location: Work will be onsite within the Harborview UW Medicine Medical Center and may include working within clinical areas and around clinical staff and patients.
Schedule: Work will include nights and weekends based on cutover schedules. Work week may be defined as Wednesday through Sunday or Thursday through Monday. Candidates will be required to have a flexible schedule as work may be scheduled around the times suitable for insuring the least amount of disruption to clinical services.

We have an immediate need for a MID -term Project Deployment Planner with experience in the following areas:
- Detail oriented with the ability to create project documents required by programming team and deployment teams to effectively cutover phones from the legacy to new telephony system.
- Ability to read building blueprints to locate and document station data to plan for a series of telephone device cutovers.
- 3 years experience in the telecommunications field.
- Experience with data networking standards and best practices in support of telephony deployments and implementation of VoIP stations.
- Ability to handle multiple streams of work as you will be preparing system for future cutover events while providing support for ongoing cutover or help desk work.
- Ability to work and interact with other members of the project team and internal Medical Center Telecommunications staff and Management to achieve project goals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Must be able to work with technicians to resolve issues with deployment or station configurations.
- Ability and agility necessary to inspect and validate voice and data jacks which may be located under desks or other difficult to reach areas.
- Project Management experience.
- Understanding of structured cabling in a telephony environment.
- Moderate skill level with Excel.
- Ability to use network tools to validate network settings at station jacks in support of a VoIP station deployment.
- Work as part of a project team to document and plan the migration of telephone station location and configuration information from a legacy PBX system to an Avaya Aura PBX system.
- Work will include documenting current configurations and locations of the legacy system phones and mapping the deployment of new replacement Avaya phone devices.
- The job will require a person with an understanding of telecommunications technologies and the ability to creatively solve problems as we translate the current station configurations from the legacy system into a format that can be used by the system engineers and technicians to program and cutover phones to the new system.
