Telecommunications Technician - GSD Telecom Services

Job Overview

We are searching for techs with experience with twisted pair copper including tone and tag, terminating jack, RJ45s, loaded patch panels and cable dressing. We prefer techs with knowledge of structured cabling and fiber terminations. Experience with Coax would also be helpful. Experience with rack and stack and knowledge of associated equipment.

Duties

• Will work under the direction of the site manager to assist troubleshooting issues with existing copper lines.

• Perform site surveys on analog, digital, and IP based phone networks

• Survey com rooms and equipment in racks and cabinets

• Survey and document small analog telco frames

• As part of a crew take part in structured cabling projects. Build, dress, and test
