Number of Beds/Cases: 36 Selling Points for unit: Team ApproachAdults and Geriatrics Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Resp (COPD, asthma exacerbations), ETOH/drug withdrawal/behavioral health (CIWA), CHF, Renal failure/dialysis, sepsis and other infections, encephalopathies, delirium/dementia Any special procedure done on the unit? Blood admin, wound care/wound vacs, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring Top 10 Medications: IV/PO Insulin, Lovenox/ASA, beta-blockers, IV/PO Antibiotics, IV/PO pain meds, Statins, IV/PO Steriods, IV/PO Potassium Nurse Patient Ratio: Days: 1:5 & NOCS 1:6 Use of Ancillary staff: Yes Does supplemental staff float: Yes What areas require floating? All non-critical acute inpatient care areas Frequency: Anywhere between 1-3 times/week
