The Riverside County Sheriff's Office is seeking applicants for the Telephone Report UnitOfficer I or II positions to support their office located inRiverside. The incumbent will be responsible for receiving telephone calls from the public: who are requesting law enforcement assistance for non-emergency situations; disseminating facts as necessary by entering information into appropriate law enforcement systems; writing reports on calls received; and performing related duties as required.
The Telephone Report Unit (TRU) of the Sheriff's Office handles non-critical calls for services by phone, which reduces the workload, response time, and the number of pending calls for patrol operations.
