The salary range for this position is $45-50 per hour based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Brands has a hybrid work model with three days in office and two days remote each week.
SUMMARY
As the Digital Copywriter responsible for the OleHenriksen Skincare brand, you will be part of the digital copywriting team at Kendo, dedicated to optimizing brand and campaign content to drive the business. You thrive in a fast-paced digital environment and take pride in seeing the impact generated by your writing-in email subject lines, paid social posts, and more. In this role, you'll be responsible for digital copy assets for OleHenriksen: Website updates, product pages, paid social, paid search, blog posts and email. You have a passion for and deep understanding of skincare-you just might be the friend everyone goes to for the best skincare advice: You know the difference between a PHA, an AHA and BHA, you know why vitamin C is a such an important antioxidant, and you even know how to explain the moisture barrier. In this role, you'll apply this important knowledge to make the storytelling across the OleHenriksen digital universe even more robust.
The OleHenriksen Digital Copywriter reports into the Skincare Copy director
YOU WILL:
- Partner closely with the global copywriter and the Skincare Copy Director to optimize brand & campaign copy for digital channels
- You will provide all digital copywriting content, including website updates, product pages, email, paid social, blog posts and other SEO-related content
- Implement the brand voice seamlessly across all digital channels
- Attend project kick-offs, examine various types of project briefs, paying close attention to marketing objectives and copy requests
- Execute clean, detail-oriented, on-brief copy
- Partner with the design team to ensure copy is correctly flowed into design and find integrated visual/copy solutions
- Take ownership of deadlines and follows project schedules and updates
- Stay current on beauty industry trends, social trends and competitors
REQUIREMENTS
- College degree: BA preferred
- 3-5 years of copywriting experience, digital preferred
- Experience implementing learnings from digital metrics (email open rates, conversion, A/B testing, etc.) a plus
- Knowledge of SEO and search tools a plus
- Creative self-starter; ability to navigate a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ease and polish in presenting in a variety of settings: small/large groups, managers, formal presentations
- Solid organizational skills, detail-oriented; time management skills, ability to juggle priorities
- Strong relationship-building skills; ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines
- The drive to excel and succeed; self-motivated
- Understanding of current skincare trends
- Beauty experience preferred
