Top NYC Healthcare Firm looking for an Expeditor to join its growing organization working with their Food Service Team. In this role, you will be directly responsible for tray assembly and monitoring inventory of supplies, etc. Currently a Three (3) Month Temporary Assignment with the Possibility to Extend or Go Permanent.
Full-time (37.5-hrs Weekly); Varied/Flex Shifts AM & PM (7.5-hrs Daily); Five (5) Days per Week (including and not limited to Weekends & Holidays). Incredible organization where you feel as though you are "giving back”. MUST be Fully Vaccinated. You will be working Onsite in the upper 60's on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

- Food Expeditor for a Fast-paced Environment.
- Able to Read and Assemble Meal Tickets in Environment like a Panera Bread, Shake Shack, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum One (1) year of Experience Working in Food & Beverage and/or Kitchen within the Hospitality Industry (e.g., hotels, restaurants, food & beverage, fast-food restaurant, or similar field required) .
- Able to Read, Write, and Understand Basic Instructions.
- Passionate about Hospitality and Dedicated to Delivering Outstanding Communication at All Times.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will perform a variety of functions to ensure wonderful service to all patients, staff, and visitors in the hospital.
- Review patient meal ticket for all necessary information (i.e., name, room number, diet order, time of order).
- Ensure that corrective action is taken (e.g., contacting Diet Office) if information is incorrect or missing.
- Sets up patient tray neatly, according to guidelines, to include hot and cold food items and all other necessary items (e.g., silverware, china, beverage, condiments, etc.).
- Place appropriate covers for each dish and beverage.
- Check assembled tray for accuracy and completeness prior to loading onto tray delivery cart.
- Load hot and cold tray delivery cart onto cargomaster and dispatch to unit as specified on tray ticket.
- Ensure that trays are queued and appropriately dispatched according to time printed on ticket.
- Notify room service associate on unit, via Telecommunication radio, that a cart has been sent to that unit.
- Monitor inventory of supplies (e.g., silverware, napkins, china, condiments, beverages, etc.) before and after each meal service.
- Complete Storeroom Requisition Form as needed and submit to supervisor for approval to maintain par levels.
