The temp Genetic Counselor for Dr. Angela Bradbury’s Telegenetics Program is responsible for providing genetic counseling primarily for the eSMARTER randomized trial, focused on disclosure of APOE results. Additional activities include genetic counseling activities supporting both clinical patients at affiliated community hospitals and participants in a variety of NIH-funded national remote genetic counseling studies. The genetic counselor should have sufficient educational experience in both cancer and complex adult-onset disease. The genetic counselor will work with Telegenetics program staff members at Penn Medicine and will receive training for remote counseling protocols utilizing telephone, real-time two-way videoconferencing and additional digital interventions (chatbot and genetic education and disclosure web portals).
