Top NYC Healthcare Firm looking for an experienced revenue management systems/access control professional to join its Revenue Cycle Operations Department as an Access Control Specialist for a Temporary Ten to Twelve (10-12) Assignment with the Possibility to Extend or Go Permanent.
In this role, you will report to the Revenue Cycle Operations Department. Primary job function will be supporting Patient Revenue Team with user access provisioning, deactivation, and login resets. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have some level of technical capability, and understand PHI-Protected Health Information confidentiality. This is an entry-level role and training will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum One (1) year of Administrative/Clerical experience required.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite Programs, especially Excel.
- Detail oriented; and Keen Attention to Detail.
- Proven Customer Service Skills; and Proven Accountability.
- Ability to Maintain Confidentiality.
- Proven Comfortability with Computers.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
PROVISIONING/DEPROVISIONING ACCOUNTS FOR APPLICATION ACCESS (80% of the Time)
- Assigns and maintains user login and passwords.
- Requests overrides to system security as required for emergency provisioning or terminations.
- Ensure that all system access is granted or terminated on a timely basis, per entitlement status.
- Report any serious issues to management immediately. Provide quality customer service as required.
- Assists Systems Development staff, external vendors, and Access Control Analyst II in testing provisioning applications.
- Tests access to computer systems of every application before hand-off to end-users.
- Collects documents pertaining to internal investigations and audits of system access entitlements.
- Assists with testing of disaster recovery procedures for system access provisioning and terminations.
- Interface with Systems Development and Center personnel, as required in testing and implementing provisioning and termination applications.
- Report any serious issues to management immediately.
- Assist requestors with application access requests.
- Assist new application users with initial logon instruction.
- Ensure that requestors and users are familiar with their new ids/passwords and know how to logon to applications.
- Maintain and update access requests as appropriate.
- Maintain and update system access provisioning and termination logs as appropriate.
- Maintain and update password reset logs as appropriate.
- Ensure that all operational documentation is properly maintained.
- Report any serious issues to management immediately.
