Description:
This is a small community without public transport. Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
8hr days, 24hours guaranteed per week, with the chance for 32hrs weekly
Will work with in and outpatients with high volume of patients (adults) with Neurologic conditions requiring knowledge in SLP treatment assessment to treatment activities that address voice modulation and quality, all levels of communication retraining, swallowing retraining and cognitive re- training.
Patient Population: All ages
Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).
Traveler must be willing to work TWO of the following:
Thanksgiving and weekend after
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and weekend after
New Year Eve/New Year Day and weekend after
Local Travelers - Those who reside within 50 miles of the facility - are not eligible for this need.
Non-Billable Orientation: 8hrs
Holiday and OT multipliers: 1.25%
Call, Call-Back and Charge: Not applicable for this need
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years of recent INPATIENT experience - Required
Experience in a Critical Access facility - Required
Master s degree in Speech and Language Pathology - Required
CERNER EMR experience Required - This is non-negotiable!
Travel experience - Preferred

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is a 35-bed critical access community hospital located in historical Windsor, Vermont. Having been named winner of the Foster G. McGaw Prize for Excellence in Community Service, Mt. Ascutney is one of only two CARF accredited facilities in the State of Vermont!
Windsor, VT is centrally located and close to some of the best outdoor recreation in the area. Downtown Windsor is full quaint shops, iconic diners, and a Smokehouse where you can find the best bacon in New England ! The city facility is only a 3-hour drive to cities like Boston, Montreal, and New York!
The hospital features 25 inpatient, medical-surgical beds and a renowned 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. Additionally, the hospital has a therapeutic pool and physical therapy department as well as acute care, transitional care, and hospice.
