Salary Range: $26.00-$28.00/hour
Description/Expectations:
Hendler Family Brewing Company is recruiting for a Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist for its growing Administration Team. The Temporary AP Specialist will play a critical role in managing the company’s accounts payable process. This individual will ensure that all vendor invoices are processed accurately and efficiently, helping maintain smooth operations. The ideal candidate is organized, has a knack for problem-solving, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.
This three month temporary AP Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience while helping us wrap up the year and keep things running smoothly through the busy holiday season. Essential Functions and Duties:
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely data entry.
- Review invoices for proper authorization and approval, matching them to purchase orders where applicable.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare weekly payment runs and ensure payments are processed on time.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including AP aging reports.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
- Maintain AP files and records, ensuring all documentation is complete and organized.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve AP processes and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 1-2 years of accounts payable or related finance experience required.Must have experience with a restaurant inventory platform.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with accounting software. Proficiency in Excel, Google Suite and Restaurant 365 preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify errors and discrepancies quickly.
- Organizational Skills: Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Communication: Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors
