Overview
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is seeking a Temporary Assistant Professor to cover teaching (90%) and service (10%). The position is available up to two years with the possibility of renewal for one additional year. This is an academic-year (9-month) position with an anticipated start date of January 2024.
Responsibilities
Teaching will be at the undergraduate level in general and organic chemistry. Service will include membership on one or more committees in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* PhD in chemistry or a related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Evidence of effectiveness in teaching chemistry at the undergraduate level.
* Ability to work productively and cooperatively with colleagues.
* Eagerness to contribute to undergraduate education in the Department.
* Excellent oral, written, and problem-solving skills.
