About the Job
The Athletics Department at Oregon Tech seeks a part-time Temporary-Assistant Soccer Coach to support the Men’s and/or Women’s Soccer teams on the Klamath Falls campus of Oregon Tech; or as assigned.
Position Summary:
As a Temporary-Assistant Soccer Coach, you will report to the Head Men’s Soccer Coach &/or the Head Women’s Soccer Coach (based on the Departmental need). Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Attend daily trainings, as needed, at the direction & discretion of the Head Men’s and/or the Head Women’s Soccer Coach[es], to accomplish tasks associated with a full practice session. This may range from running drills, setting up equipment, to coaching small groups during the session.
- Facilitating match day preparations; such as pre-game meetings, warmups, in game coaching/decision making, as well as traveling with the team to and from away matches, to list a few.
- Temporary-Assistant Soccer Coaches will be expected to participate in recruitment. Recruiting is a primary factor in building a successful team. The Head Coaches will hold the majority of this responsibility, but the Temporary-Assistant Soccer Coach is expected to aid in the recruitment process; particularly regarding the recruitment of new individuals to the team.
The Temporary-Assistant Soccer Coach appointment will report from approximately August 1 – December 31, 2024. The initial contract may be extended depending upon departmental need and discretion.

Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or completion of GED Program
- Submission and clearance of a successful background and DMV screening (through Oregon Tech’s Office of Human Resources)
- Valid Driver’s License
- 2-4 years of competitive soccer background (playing or coaching)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Competitive Goalkeeper experience (playing or coaching) of at least 1-3 years
- College Coaching Experience, at least one season
