The Dragoo Research Program, located at the Inverness Orthopedics and Spine Center - UCHealth Steadman Hawkins Clinic, is seeking a 12-month Temporary Research Assistant to join our dynamic team. This temporary position will be instrumental in supporting a range of projects aligned with clinical research and laboratory objectives. These include advancing innovative biologic treatments for orthopedic conditions, improving surgical outcomes, and investigating mechanisms behind musculoskeletal diseases and injuries (ACL injury and OA/PTOA). Additionally, our clinical-translational team has established a biobank (CUREBank) to collect various musculoskeletal tissues and autologous biologics from individual patients. Employing a novel approach distinct from traditional biobanking methods, CUREBank aims to aliquot and preserve cellular and acellular tissue components and revitalize tissues stored long-term to ensure their viability for future research purposes. This position will work up to 30 hours per week, but may be expected to work up to 35 hours on certain weeks as needed. This position will primarily support research personnel within the Dragoo Research Program on funded and unfunded projects. While the temporary research assistant is expected to contribute in many ways to the research projects, typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
