Job Description Summary
Penn’s Laboratory for Cognition and Neural Stimulation (LCNS) in the Department of Neurology has a 10-20 hour per week position available in clinical research. The role would involve coordinating outreach effort to recruit disadvantaged and unrepresented persons with focal brain lesions and neurodegenerative disorders to participate in brain stimulation research.
Job Description
This position will spearhead the LCNS outreach efforts to encourage underrepresented minorities in and around the tri-state area to participate in clinical research. The CRA will liaison with clinicians, community organizers, patient support groups and health advocacy groups to recruit persons with Aphasia into non-invasive brain stimulation (e.g. tDCS & TMS) research studies. The CRA be responsible for data entry, coding and quality checking. Maintain participant databases, and performing limited neuropsychological testing as needed.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Redcap, and the ability to follow through on tasks in a timely manner. Familiarity with health sciences, nursing, or neurosciences fields is preferred. Preference will be given to individuals who have previous human subjects research and research outreach experience.
