About the Job
To assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of professional, facility, and
ancillary contracts for the PHC provider network. The Contract Coordinator will also be
responsible for supporting daily contracting activities as follows:
- Support the ongoing management of provider contracts with clinics, safety net providers,
physicians, physician groups, hospitals, free-standing facilities, ancillary, and other
provider types for all PHC programs. - Assist with obtaining initial contract signatures, contract renewals, and amendments.
- Ensure all contracts are scanned and stored to internal PHC network drives.
- Distribute amendments or new agreements to key departments and staff within the PHC.
- Process and respond to requests from external potential providers via phone or written
correspondence. - Respond to general questions regarding the status of contract processing.
- Fulfill requests for contract copies from internal and external customers.
- Support contract projects and coordinate contracting activities as it relates to
Credentialing activities and deadlines. - Assist with collating information for all regulatory projects and internal/external audits.
- Initiate unique Letters of Agreements (LOA) when requested.
- Use PHC routing system for distributing executed LOAs.
- Develop contracting spreadsheets used for tracking amendments and daily contracting
activities. - Assists with maintaining, monitoring and updating new contracts notification grid and
following up with internal departments to ensure systems are updated timely. Track and
audit. - Report project and contract status to Manager/Director on a routine basis.
- Work with PHC Regulatory Affairs department to ensure contract compliance.
- Follow up on outstanding contracting activities via phone or written correspondence.
- Attend internal network planning meetings as directed by Manager.
- Answer basic contract questions and assist with provider education as directed.

- Participate in Special Projects as assigned.
Education and Experience | Experience with medical provider contracting using various

Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications | Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of managed care, contracting, policies and procedures. Requires knowledge of business software applications, specifically EXCEL and WORD. Must be computer proficient. Eye for detail and accuracy.

Performance Based Competencies | Good oral and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills with ability to prioritize assignments, maintain effective filing systems, and meet deadlines. Ability to use good judgment and to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.

Work Environment And Physical Demands | Ability to use microcomputer keyboard and 10-key calculator. More than 80% of work time is spent at a video display terminal. Ability to operate a vehicle used for company business. When required, ability to move, carry or lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.

HIRING RANGE:
$32/hour
