Responsibilities:JOB SUMMARY: Supports and supervises the planning, administration and communication of all Company associate benefit plans to ensure compliance with company policies, guidelines and applicable regulatory agency rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises Benefits administration and coordinates the implementation and administration of GSF’s group medical, dental and vision, life and disability plans for salaried and hourly employees, facilitating the utilization of the most cost-effective plans in keeping with the Company’s standards and guidelines. (40%)
- Administers GSF’s salaried and hourly 401(k) retirement plans, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, the identification of relevant issues and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. (20%)
- Provides training to corporate and regional management/staff regarding benefit program modifications and features to facilitate associate understanding and acceptance of plan provisions and changes. (10%)
- Assists and supports the design, development and continued maintenance of the Employee Self Service system through personal Lawson expertise and coordination with Payroll, Human Resources and IT departments. (10%)
- Communicates benefit plan programs information with external insurance company representatives and benefit consultants and ensures the accurate interpretation of plan characteristics and of redesigned plan components, and the smooth implementation of benefit plan policies and procedures throughout GSF. (5%)
- Analyzes various benefit plans, surveys and miscellaneous market data to ensure cost effective and market competitiveness. Develops census data and coordinates with brokers in obtaining and evaluating proposals. Develops cost information of new plans and coordinate recommendations with Sr. Director of Risk and Benefits concerning Employer/Associate plan costs. (5%)
- Prepare the calculation of monthly premiums statements for all group insurance policies and maintains statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolves administrative problems with the carrier representative. (5%)
- Assists various departments in creating Lawson reports and queries to ensure and accurate provision of data from the HR/Benefit systems. (5%)
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises Corporate Benefit Administrator, and other clerical staff as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration from an accredited college or university and professional designation of CEBS
Experience:
Over 10 years of relevant work experience in benefits and HR administration
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
