Temporary Nanny Primarily for a Infant in Myers Park, Occasionally Caring for a Three Year Old - Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency
Charlotte, NC 28207
About the Job
Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Myers Park in finding a temporary Nanny for their youngest son, who will be born in November 2024. Their older son will be three when the nanny starts and will attend a full-day daycare each day. The nanny would typically be needed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm.
The best nanny for this family would be honest, hardworking, attentive, and enjoy caring for infants and toddlers. Starting in January, the nanny would be responsible for driving their toddler to school, assisting the mom with newborn care and tasks around the home and errands, and picking their son up from school. In February, when mom goes back to work, the nanny would no longer be responsible for driving the toddler to school or picking him up. At that point, primary care will be needed for their infant. Occasionally, the three-year-old may need care if school is closed or he is out sick. During these times, the nanny should be comfortable caring for both children.
It is important that the nanny has previous experience caring for newborns and is up to date on the latest in newborn care. Starting in February, each day, the nanny would be responsible for keeping their infant on his schedule and routine, meeting his daily needs (feeding, changing, managing naps), and engaging him in age-appropriate activities throughout the day. He should have play time inside and outside each day (weather permitting), go on strolls, play with toys, work on developmental milestones such as tummy time, and have chances to interact with other children through playdates and community activities. For about 30 minutes in the afternoon, after the mom and the three-year-old come home, the nanny may be responsible for caring for the three-year-old while the mom breastfeeds the baby. The nanny should not be distracted by a phone or other devices and should be engaging with their son throughout the day. The home is two stories, and the nursery is on the second floor, so the nanny must be comfortable climbing the stairs.
Nanny Responsibilities Include:
Meeting daily scheduling needs of the children (Feeding, Changing, Napping)
