Position Summary:
Boca Grove is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Tennis, Pickleball, and Padel Maintenance Specialist to join our prestigious club. This position is integral to ensuring the highest standards of court conditions for our members and guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, upkeep, and enhancement of our tennis, pickleball, and padel courts, ensuring they are always in pristine condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Court Maintenance and Inspection:
- Perform daily inspections of all tennis, pickleball, and padel courts, identifying any maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Conduct regular cleaning and conditioning of court surfaces, including sweeping, washing, brushing, and rolling to ensure optimal playability and appearance.
- Perform minor and major repairs on court surfaces, addressing issues such as cracks, uneven surfaces, and worn-out areas.
- Apply necessary court treatments, such as resurfacing, repainting lines, and applying top dressings as required.
- Equipment Management:
- Regularly inspect, maintain, and repair court equipment including nets, posts, windscreens, benches, and court dividers.
- Ensure all court amenities such as seating areas, water coolers, and shade structures are clean, well-maintained, and functional.
- Inventory and Procurement:
- Monitor and manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Event Support:
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of courts for tournaments, clinics, and other special events, ensuring all equipment and facilities are prepared to the highest standard.
- Work closely with the Head Racquets Professional and event coordinators to meet specific requirements for each event.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including routine inspections, repairs, and supply usage.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the Head Racquets Professional, outlining the status of court conditions, completed tasks, and any outstanding maintenance needs.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance court quality and operational efficiency.
- Customer Service:
- Respond promptly and professionally to any member concerns or requests regarding court conditions.
- Engage with members to gather feedback on court conditions and address any issues promptly.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with club standards, industry best practices, and safety regulations.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, using protective equipment and safe working practices at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in facility maintenance or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tennis, pickleball, or padel court maintenance or a similar role within a sports facility.
- Comprehensive knowledge of court maintenance practices, equipment, and materials specific to tennis, pickleball, and padel.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various maintenance tools and equipment, including court grooming machines, blowers, and pressure washers.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset, with the ability to interact professionally with members and staff.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to operate club vehicles as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions.
- May require early morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts to meet the needs of the club.
