Overview
This position lies within the Enterprise Business Intelligence Unit. This is a young group that has quickly grown from 3-45 members. The long term strategy of this group and for purposes of this project are to take old and new data from multiple disparate sources and centralize it into their Teradata based NDW (National Data Warehouse). The key is to have all data in 1 central repository for the entire Enterprise to access as opposed to different groups housing their own data in separate warehouses. They are currently ramping up quickly with new data coming in from 12 "sources and 124 different "attributes . An outside vendor has been brought in to maintain data integrity, taking the raw data and putting it into structures. The role of the developer will be to "stitch the data - take business requirements, analyze it and figure out which attributes best solve the business' needs. This will require an advanced knowledge and experience using SQL. Other responsibilities may include eventually assisting to automate this process which is now manual;also assist other developers with dashboarding.
This is essentially a Customer Data Integration project (CDI);

Responsibilities
- Partner with HQ information technology group, OBI tools team and business units to implement nationalized best in class business logic
- Analyze source data and determine best approach to solve business needs via the requested attribute list
- Implement a solution that will be easy to transfer ownership after the project is completed
- Document the process
- Help in query optimization for daily execution
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science
- Proficient SQL programming knowledge
- Teradata SQL knowledge and experience
- BTEQ
- Minimum of 4 - 6 years relevant work experience
- Ability to analyze data and work independently
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various functional areas, including field, Region, Division and Corporate personnel
