Job Description
The Terminal Services Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various services and vendors in the Harrisburg International Airport terminal to ensure contract compliance with tenants and vendors and coordinating with terminal tenants to ensure a positive passenger experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring SARAA, airport tenants, and vendors are providing the services necessary to provide a positive passenger experience.
- Serves as primary contact for assigned terminal services contractors including but not limited to, parking management, janitorial services and ground transportation.
- Perform daily terminal inspections to ensure terminal vendors and tenants are adhering to SARAA policies, procedures, and contracts.
- Oversee the performance and coordinate projects and operations for parking and buses, janitorial services, oversize luggage, tenant deliveries, maintenance, ground transportation, and construction between stakeholders to ensure the least impact as possible for passengers.
- Escorting valid vendors and other individuals in sterile areas of the terminal and airport.
- Perform complementary customer service consistent with airport customer service standards.
- Coordinate, plan, and assist with special events.
- Coordinate and lead airport tours.
- Identify and report identified hazards.
- Ensure assigned areas are maintained in an orderly and neat manner.
- All other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of experience in hospitality, facilities, airline, or airport industries.
Required Licenses, Certificates, Conditions:
A valid PA driver’s license with a good driving record or ability to obtain PA license within 30 days of hire date. Ability to pass a 10-year background and criminal investigation in order to be issued an Airport Identification Badge.
Cognitive Tasks:
Ability to comprehend, retain, and follow oral and written instructions. Must exercise good judgment, work independently, make decisions, organize and maintain detailed information. Must effectively set priorities. Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations without precedent.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk frequently with occasionally sitting. Must be able to speak and hear clearly. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Ability to work independently or as a member of a team. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
Language and Communication Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language, ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, shift personnel, clients, customers, and the general public. Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math skills required.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
