POSITION SUMMARY
The Terrain Park Builder is responsible for the building and maintenance of terrain parks and features. Working with the Terrain Parks Supervisor, this position also assists in the design of all terrain park elements to provide a fun and safe experience for our guests. This is a seasonal full-time position with potential to become year-round. The wage range for this role is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Create fun, animated and safe terrain parks that drive experience and visitation
- Responsible for building and maintenance of all terrain parks
- Communicate daily to terrain park supervisor, park staff, and design team
- Collaborate with other divisions/departments
- Develop and foster relationships with key partners, i.e. Stratton Winter Sports Club, SMS, USASA, USSS, and others
- Additional duties as assigned by Manager
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Expert level snowcat operator
- Terrain park design and build experience with a similar operation to Stratton Mountain
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of terrain park trends, design, building and best practices
- Competent terrain park rider or skier
- Solid computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional travel required for industry conventions or trainings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.
